How to remove stains?

Dr. Beckmann Stain Experts offer the right solution.

Useful tips

  • The sooner a stain is treated, the easier it can be removed.

  • Before using the product, perform a check for discolouration and compatibility on a concealed part of the fabric.

  • Observe the care symbols of the textiles.

  • Do not carry out a stain treatment on sensitive surfaces.

  • Use a suitable underlayment, such as a saucer or clean towel.

  • For color particle stains, it is especially important that the stain removal is done before washing and the stain is completely removed.

FAQs

After the application, my laundry turned yellow-orange rather than white. How can that happen?

The residues from sunscreens or self-tanning products react and turn everything orange brown. Immerse the textiles in denatured alcohol, and tie the (freezer) bag tightly. Afterwards, wash as usual.

My blood stain cannot be removed despite the treatment with Stain Expert Blood & Proteins.

The stain was possibly treated with warm water previously, or even washed at higher temperatures. This would have altered the protein share within the blood. In this case, you can try to perform a stain removal with Dr. Beckmann Stain Salt using the soaking method.

My son has a huge chocolate ice cream stain on his good trousers. How can I remove it?

Dr. Beckmann Stain Expert Blood & Proteins can also be used to remove a large chocolate ice cream stain. It is however very important that you remove the stain before the washing.

I have ironed out the candle wax from my tablecloth, but the coloured spot is still there. What can I do?

Due to the high temperature during the ironing, the colour pigments bond within the fabric, just like they would during an actual printing process. Sadly, these can no longer be removed

My grass stain is still visible after the treatment and the subsequent washing. The Stain Expert Mud, Grass & cosmetics did not work properly

The stain probably wasn't completely removed before washing. Through the wash cycle, the stain remains have now been bonded within the fabric. In this case, we recommend a further stain treatment using the Stain Expert Tea& Juice with the soaking method, since the original stain has been chemically altered through the washing

Can I remove old sludge stains with the Stain Expert Mud, Grass & Cosmetics?

If the stained textiles have already been washed, then the stains have bonded within the fabric through the washing process and can no longer be removed.
